This win has been fueled by breakthroughs in solar technology and battery storage, enabling renewable energy to shine brighter than ever. Global renewable energy capacity also experienced its fastest growth in over two decades, soaring by an impressive 50% in 2023. These achievements highlight the unstoppable momentum of the global shift toward sustainable energy solutions.

Skincare tip of the week

Double Cleanse

There is a 99% chance you have heard of double cleansing by now, but are you doing it? And if so, every night?

Double cleansing consists of cleansing with an oil-based cleanser, followed by a water-based cleanser (or your normal cleanser). It is especially important if you wear makeup, sunscreen, live in a polluted area, have oily skin or have skin prone to breakouts. Basically, you are getting everything off your skin so your cleanser can penetrate deep into your pores and clean away impurities. Adding the extra step leaves your skin clean and ready for your serums!

There are both oils and balms for the first round in a double cleanse, and it really comes down to preference. Balms are thicker, can feel more luxurious, and tend to be better for dry and sensitive skin. Oils are more lightweight, rinse off easier, and tend to be better for oily and acne prone skin.

Pro tip: Use your oil-based cleanser in the morning as a single cleanse during dry months to cleanse bacteria from the night while hydrating skin.

Sustainability challenge

Skip plastic for leftovers this week.

Are you someone who typically uses Ziplock bags, saran wrap, or other single use plastics when storing leftovers? If so, try skipping it this week. Glass storage containers, mason jars, or really anything you have laying around that already exists is a better alternative. You are then cutting back on microplastics on your system, and single use plastics in our environment. Plus, it's cheaper! It's a win-win all around.
